Greenville, RI (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – The government agency the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) www.cpsc.gov in cooperation with FAF Inc. announced January 29, 2010 the recall of Children’s Metal Necklaces due to hazardous levels of Cadmium. Consumers are advised to remove the necklaces from their children.
The voluntarily recalled Children’s Metal Necklaces can be hazardous to children’s health if the metal is ingested. The China-made necklaces were sold at Walmart retail stores across the nation from November 2009 through January 2010 for the price of $5. Thus far, there have been 55,000 sold to consumers.
The necklaces are described as a metal crown or a frog pendant on a metal link chains in a package with the label “Disney” and “The Princess and the Frog” The Crown necklace UPC number is 72783367144 with a model number of 4616-4187. The Frog necklace has the UPC number of UPC # 72783367147 and a model number of 4616-4190. There have not been any injuries reported in correlation to the necklaces.
