Plainville, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Two cars collided on Route 1 severely injuring one driver Monday morning, announced The Sun Chronicle. The accident occurred at the crossroads of George Street and Route 1.
Police identified the first driver as 25-year-old Lauren Ober, resident of Wrentham, who was heading south on Route 1 when she entered the expressway from the Dunkin Donuts parking lot and then collided with a car that was heading northbound. The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning and created traffic delays.
Massachusetts police identified the driver of the northbound vehicle as 41-year-old Kimberly Davis, resident of Plainville. Firefighters extricated Davis with the Jaws of Life from the damaged vehicle.
Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene to transport Davis to the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Her injuries were severe, but medical officials reported that she was not in life threatening condition as of Monday evening.
North Attleboro medical transportation took Ober to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where she was treated by doctors and was discharged from the hospital that day. Police issued Davis a ticket for the accident. The road way was not closed off due to the crash.
