New York Construction Accident Attorney News: More Construction Jobs Coming Manhattan’s WayAn increase in building will bring thousands of needed construction jobs to the Manhattan area reports New York Construction Accident Attorney

Manhattan, NY (Workplace Injury Lawyer News) New York construction accident attorneys at JC Reiter have confirmed that a new development is taking place next to Manhattan. This development is set to provide 5,000 new units of housing for New York City. Hunters Point South is the exact location where the construction for the brand new housing complex began last month state the NYC construction accident lawyers. The expected completion time of the initial phase as of right now is 2014 and the expected completion of the entire project is set for 2021.

This will be the largest affordable housing complex located in Long Island since the 1970’s. JC Reiter’s NYC construction accident lawyers explain that a majority of the units are being considered as affordable housing. This means that a percentage of the units will be designated towards families making a certain amount of income. For example, families that make between 31,680 to 63,360 will be able to occupy approximately 20% of the units.

According to New York construction accident lawyer at the law firm of JC Reiter, this is a huge construction project that is taking place that will bring lots of new construction jobs to the area. A public school, 908 rental units, parks and retail developments are all in the process of being built. The rental units are scheduled to start being built during June of 2012, so a large amount of building trades workers will soon be needed for this project. Once the first portion or phase of this project is complete in 2014, the second phase will begin. When all is said and done, there will be a total of 5,000 units being completed by 2021 report New York construction accident attorneys.

It is estimated that the development of Hunters Point will create more than 4,600 construction jobs alone and permanent employment for so many workers who desperately need it. The additional workforce housing is close to the island’s bustling midtown area. Ultimately, Manhattan will benefit from this close proximity. Ongoing construction in Queens will also be bolstered by the Hunters Point development predict New York construction accident attorneys.
