Los Angeles – Actress Leah Remini says the Church of Scientology is trying to make an example out of her. As reported by UPI, Remini, who split from the church in July, recently spoke on the subject and her stint on Dancing With the Stars.

The former King of Queens star is quoted by UPI as stating on Tuesday night’s episode of DWTS, “The church is looking for me to fail…So they can say, ‘Look what happens when you leave.”

Remini, who was reportedly a member of the church for 30 years, has been subpoenaed to testify in a lawsuit against it. She was set to testify on October 15, but her deposition has been postponed by the church indefinitely.

The church and its leader, David Miscavige, are being sued by former member Monique Rathbun for purported harassment.
