Florida – Jurors in the George Zimmerman murder trial were played a 911 call in which a gunshot sound was captured as 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed. As reported by Yahoo! News, the woman who made the call, a resident of the community where the incident took place also testified on Thursday, which was day four of the trial.

Jenna Lauer is quoted in the report as stating of what she claims to have heard from her townhome, “It sounded like they were desperate… Whoever it was really needed help.”

Zimmerman, who has been charged with second-degree murder, claims he shot the teen in self-defense.

It has yet to be known whether Zimmerman will take the stand in the case.
