Bus Crash Injures 14 in Hamilton, NJ

Hamilton, N.J. — A bus crash injured 14 people on Route 295 on Saturday, April 20, 2013, when the bus slid down an embankment for unknown reasons. The tour bus accident occurred just before 3 p.m. at mile marker 59.1, NJ.com reported.

According to New Jersey State Police, there were at least 30 people on board the tour bus at the time of the crash.

Responding emergency medical crews transported one passenger by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of a minor hip injury. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton also revealed that their emergency room received 10 patients and they all had minor injuries. Four people also went to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment of their injuries.

It is unknown at this time why the bus veered into the ditch. No other vehicles were involved.

Investigations are underway.
