Montana – A college football player has been reinstated to his university’s team after being acquitted of rape. As reported by Reuters, University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson was placed back on the team days following his acquittal.

Johnson, 20, was reportedly suspended from the team after being accused of raping another student in her bedroom while they watched a movie. The Missoula state court jury delivered its not guilty verdict Friday ending a three-week trial.

David Paoli, Johnson’s attorney, is quoted in the report as stating of his client, “His life has been put on hold for over a year pending the defeat of the baseless charge. Now the jury has clearly and unmistakably spoken, and Jordan can continue to fully give back to his community and his school.”
