New Jersey – Two men have filed a lawsuit against fast food franchise Subway alleging they were sold what were advertised as footlong sandwiches that measured to be less than 12 inches long. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), an attorney for the plaintiffs is seeking class-action status for the case, which was filed in Superior Court in Mount Holly on Tuesday.

Stephen DeNittis, the plaintiffs’ attorney, who said he measured sandwiches at various shops and none of them measured to be a foot long, is quoted by the AP as stating, “The case is about holding companies to deliver what they’ve promised.”

The men are seeking to be compensated for purported damages and are asking that Subway make changes in its practices.
