Ohio – A man was sentenced to one month in jail for teasing a young disabled girl. As reported by ABC News, William Bailey, 43, was sentenced to 29-days in jail following a taunting incident involving a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy that was caught on video.

Tricia Knight, the mother of the 10-year-old, is quoted in the report as stating that Bailey, “was dragging his leg and patting his arm across his chest to pick his son Joseph up… I asked him to please stop doing this. ‘My daughter can see you.’ He then told his son to walk like the R-word.”

The video of the Sept. 26 incident was posted on Facebook and uploaded to YouTube before going viral.

Jennifer Fitzsimmons, the chief assistant city prosecutor for the case, is quoted in the report as stating of the outcome, “It was settled without Hope having to relive what she saw and how it impacted her… I think the trial could have been just as traumatic as the event itself.”
