Manchester Township, NJ– A New Jersey woman is suing an 11-year-old boy after he hit her in the face with a baseball while at a Little League game. The woman is seeking over $150,000 in damages, WECT.com reports.

The plaintiff, Elizabeth Lloyd is suing for over $150,000 in damages to cover medical bills and an undefined amount for pain and suffering resulting from the accident at a Manchester Little League game two years ago on April 24.

Catcher Matthew Migliaccio, who was 11-years-old at the time, was warming up a pitcher when his errant throw hit Lloyd in the face.

Lloyd’s lawsuit asserts that the errant throw by Migliaccio was intentional and reckless, “assaulted and battered” Lloyd and caused “severe, painful and permanent” injuries.

The lawsuit further alleges that Migliaccio’s actions were negligent and carless through “engaging in inappropriate physical and/or sporting activity” near Lloyd. “She continues to suffer pain and anguish, incur medical expenses and has been unable to carry out her usual duties and activities,” the lawsuit asserts.

Lloyd’s husband also is suing for the loss of “services, society and consortium” of his wife.

The Lloyd’s have demanded a jury trial.
