Cedar Mill, Oregon – An Oregon woman was discovered days after becoming trapped under a dresser. As reported by KOIN/CNN, Virginia Cartier, 67, was found alive nearly four days after the dresser had fallen on her while she was moving furniture.

Rich Roisland, Cartier’s neighbor, is quoted in the report as stating of his suspicions prior to her being found, “Hadn’t seen her in a few days, hadn’t heard much noise upstairs, but, like I say, she was pretty quiet anyway.”

Cartier’s next-door neighbor reportedly called police upon noticing she had not collected her newspapers. Responding officers forced entry after she failed to answer the door and found her under a heavy dresser.

Cartier has reportedly since been treated after sustaining leg injuries and released from a local hospital.
