St. Louis, MO — A 17-year-old girl was found hanging from a noose that was being used as a prop at a haunted house in Fenton, a St. Louis suburb. The girl was found Thursday night, October 27, 2011, at one of the seven attractions at “Creepyworld,” reports MSNBC.

Authorities reported that the unidentified girl was found unconscious with a noose around her neck. The noose was used as a prop in one of the haunted houses at Creepytown, an attraction that takes visitors through a “haunted town.”

A co-worker, who checks on the safety of the employees at the attraction, found the teen. She was reportedly working as an actress at Creepytown.

She was rushed to an area hospital where she is currently in critical condition.

Police say that the incident “looks like an unfortunate accident.” Creepytown remains open while investigations are ongoing.
