I wonder why this wasn’t suggested earlier? Boys are just as susceptible to contracting genital warts and certain cancers as girls are. This will also help reduce the risk of boys spreading HPV to girls. I agree with ACIP’s decision, and believe that any measures in protecting teens and adults from sexually transmitted diseases are a good thing.
