I applaud Senator Durbin for standing up for the consumer over these absurd charges that Bank of America is trying to pass down to the consumer. We are in a recession, and charging the consumer to use their debit card to make purchases isn’t going to help out anyone economically. Any bank that begins to use such charges are likely going to see a drop in customers. I know I’ll be one of them, who used to be a loyal Bank of America customer.
