Tampa, FL—Nearly two weeks after a Jeep SUV slammed into two 5-year-old triplets, killing one of them, the other has been released from the hospital. The fatal traffic accident occurred in the yard of a home along Kings Manor Avenue in Tampa, according to information provided by the St. Petersburg Times on Nov. 16, 2010, as well as a previous report titled, “Tampa FL Traffic Accident Kills 5-Year-Old Triplet, Critically Injures Another.”

According to information provided, triplets Gabrielle, Isabella and Delaney Rossman, as well as their older sister Victoria, 10, and friend Marissa Manuli, 9, were in the front yard of a home along Kings Manor Avenue when the accident occurred.

A Jeep driven by their neighbor, Betty-Jo Tagerson, careened down the street and crashed into the yard. The SUV hit the girls, killing Delaney.

Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel subsequently rushed Gabrielle to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

Gabrielle suffered internal bleeding, a collapsed lung, several fractured rubs, two broken clavicles, and fractures in her pelvis and right leg as a result of the wreck. The triplet’s condition has since been upgraded from critical to serious.

Though Gabrielle will remain wheel chair bound for the next three weeks, she appeared excited to finally head home. The traffic accident occurred 11 days prior to her release from the hospital.

Betty-Jo Tagerson has not been charged in connection with the accident as of yet. Investigations are expected to continue.
