Harlem, NY—A female patient contends she was kissed and fondled by a Harlem Hospital doctor en route to the emergency room. The doctor was charged with sexual assault and suspended with pay pending a full probe into the allegations, as reported by the New York Daily News.

Authorities made the accusations known Wednesday, May 26, 2010 and provided the public with further details into the unruly episode.

Reports indicated Dr. Manish Garg, a 28-year-old medical intern from India, allegedly groped the unidentified and unconscious woman’s breasts. Garg apparently kissed the woman until she woke up as the disturbing incident was in progress.

Sources stated the woman taped Dr. Garg confessing his actions. Within moments of doing so however, he allegedly asked the woman, who is in her 20s, on a date.

Nonetheless, the woman filed a report on May 11, days after the incident apparently occurred. The woman, who was initially taken to the ER for what seemed to be ruffie-induced sickness, was also under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Reports noted the woman did not seem to remember how or why she landed in the hospital to begin with.

Garg reportedly plead not guilty to charges to sex abuse.

Harlem Hospital did not comment on the case.
