Hartford, CT (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Police reported to the scene where a school van was involved in a motor vehicle accident with a car Friday, February 12, 2010, according to the Hartford Courant.

Connecticut police arrived at the scene on 149 Simsbury Road where a school van was attempting to pull into a driveway when the van was struck from behind by a Honda, reported investigating police. The school van was traveling with one student occupant at the time of the crash, and the student remained unharmed. The driver of the school van received minor injuries. Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived to transport the injured in the motor vehicle accident.

The driver was taken via ambulance to be treated by doctors and nurses at Hartford Hospital. The driver’s identity and condition was not disclosed. The driver of the Honda was identified as John Monticello, resident of West Hartford. Police ticketed him for speeding, however, they said the sun’s glare on the windshield could have been a factor.
