New Hampshire snowplow strikes pedestrian in crosswalk

Legal news for New Hampshire personal injury attorneys –A pedestrian was injured in the crosswalk when a snowplow struck her.

Manchester, NH (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a New Hampshire snowplow while crossing the street, Tuesday, January, 19, 2010, according to The Boston Herald.

Manchester police officials responded to the scene where a young woman was hit by the independent snowplow. Official investigators reported that the woman was walking alone across the street near the Campus of Southern New Hampshire University when the plow mowed her down. The 25-year-old woman was walking in the crosswalk at the time.

Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene to transport 25-year-old Anne Marie Crinieri, resident of Derry, for treatment by medical professionals. She was taken to a local hospital where she was cared for by doctors and nurses who treated her broken leg. She, luckily, did not suffer from life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the snowplow was identified as 38-year-old David Therrien, resident of Hooksett. He remained unharmed in the accident. Manchester police charged him for the incident for failure to yield. Police continue to investigate. It was not known if drugs or alcohol was involved in the incident.
