MD pedestrian killed on Pulaski Highway

Legal news for Maryland personal injury attorneys—A pedestrian was fatally injured by pickup truck in Baltimore County MD.

Baltimore County, MD (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A fatal accident occurred when a male pedestrian attempted to cross the street and was struck by a pickup truck, Wednesday, January 13, 2010, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Baltimore County police arrived at the scene on Pulaski Highway close to Middle River Road. Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel arrived to assist and transport those injured in the crash. The pedestrian was identified as Middle River man 40-year-old James Rayman. Police reported that Rayman had attempted to cross the highway close to the Colonial Motel and then jumped the 4-foot tall concrete divider and entered the westbound lanes where he was hit and severely injured by a Ford F-350 pickup truck.

The pickup truck driver reportedly stayed at the scene where Rayman laid in the road. Police declared that the pedestrians multiple injuries proved fatal at the scene of the crash. The pickup truck driver’s identity remained undisclosed. He survived the crash unharmed. Rayman’s body was taken to Maryland medical examiner’s office. Baltimore County’s crash investigation team is looking into the fatal incident.
