New York motor vehicle crash claimed life of 2 teens

Windham, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A tragic motor vehicle accident took the lives of three Westchester County teenagers in Green County 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, January 10, 2010 according to 7online.

New York State police reported to the scene of the fatal three-vehicle crash, which occurred on Route 23 in Windham. Police investigators reported that a Honda Fit veered across the middle of the road and crashed into an oncoming Ford SUV and Audi sedan.

Paramedics arrived to assist with the injured. Police officials identified the driver of the Honda as 19-year-old Marc Napoliano, resident of Yorktown Heights. He and his female passenger, 19-year-old Katelyn Lonergan, also a resident of Yorktown, sustained injuries, which proved fatal at the scene of the crash.

Police officials reported that there were three victims in the Ford SUV that were treated for minor injuries by responding paramedics. Police did not release the identities of the three people. It was reported that the people in the sedan walked away from the crash unscathed. Investigating police remained at the scene to determine the factors involved in this motor vehicle accident. It was not reported if the road was closed to clean up the wreckage of the vehicles.
