Queens, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Two motor vehicles struck and killed a man on Queens Highway Saturday, January 9, 2010, according to New York Daily News.

Police and emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene on Grand Central Parkway where the 32-year-old Queens man was struck. The victim’s identity remained undisclosed, probably due to pending family notification.

The fatal incident occurred near the Jewel Avenue Exit in Flushing, New York. One of the drivers was asked what occurred and he replied that had a bump on his vehicle. The first vehicle to strike the pedestrian was a 2002 Buick. Police reported that it had reportedly struck the man while in the westbound lanes of the Parkway at 4:40 a.m.

Soon after the Buick hit him, a 2002 Dodge struck the already injured man again. The driver of the Dodge told police he thought the person in the road was a mannequin. The pedestrian’s injuries proved fatal at the scene where authorities pronounced him dead. Police did not announce the identities of the drivers. Both drivers remained at the scene and were not charged.
