Legal news for New Jersey Truck Accident Attorney—Coca-Cola employee killed in three vehicle wreck in Paramus on Route 17.
Paramus, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A Coca-Cola truck crashed into another semi truck on Route 17, on Saturday morning, December 5, 2009, according to NewJersey.com.
Police and Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene where 58-year-old Edward G. Kading, of New Windsor, New York, was fatally injured. Police reported that the Coca-Cola tractor-trailer had collided with another semi truck just south of Midland Avenue around 4:20 a.m., when traffic had slowed due to a construction work zone. The driver of the other semi truck, 55-year-old Albert Wendlin, of Millville remained uninjured in the wreck, while Kading was tragically killed.
An SUV driving behind the Coca-Cola truck attempted to avoid the wreck, and then swerved out of control striking a utility pole. EMS transported the 49-year-old driver, Jennie Morris, of Lowell, Massachusetts, along with two of her passengers to be treated at Hackensack University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Management of New York Coca-Cola facility stated that Kading had been with the company for 25-years and he will be greatly missed by many.
Police continue to probe the fatal truck wreck. Midland Avenue was temporarily closed along with the Garden State Parkway south exit until noon Saturday, while investigation continues and cleanup crews to pick up the massive amounts of debris, including several hundreds of Coke cans.
