Salem motorcycle collision kills man, another hospitalized

Salem, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Two motorcyclists collided Monday night, October 26, 2009, that killed one rider and sent another to the hospital, announced the Eagle Tribune.

Salem police officials reported to the scene of the fatal crash in the area of 135 Brookdale Road. The two motorcyclists struck each other around 5:30 p.m. Monday evening. Police had not determined what caused the crash.

Police identified the driver of one of the bikes as 20-year-old Michael Limosani, resident of Salem. His injuries attributed to the crash proved fatal at the hospital. Emergency medical services (EMS) transported Michael to the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, M.A. where upon arrival, he past away.

The driver of the other motorcycle, identified as 21-year-old William Childs, also a resident of Salem, was taken via ambulance to Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was treated for moderate injuries by doctors and nurses. Medical officials reported that he was released from the hospital on Monday night.

Funeral arrangements were made for Michael for Friday, October 30, 2009. The funeral will be held at St. Joseph’s Church located in Salem. Police are continuing to investigate the tragic crash to determine the cause.
