A head-on-collision in Southwick, Massachusetts fatally injured two 14-year-old boys, one was the driver, reported police.

Southwick, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A fatal head-on collision killed an underage driver and his 14-year-old friend who was a passenger in one of the parent’s vehicles on Wednesday night, October 23, 2009, announced the Boston Herald.

The two high school freshman both suffered fatal injuries when they crashed into another driver on the roadway close to the Connecticut state lines. The 14-yer-old boys were from Southwick, Massachusetts reported police officials.
The Wednesday night crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. when the boy crashed his parents 2001 Volkswagen into a 1007 Hyundai.
The badly damaged vehicle swerved off the road and flipped over on its side. The two boys were reportedly not buckled up in their seat belts, reported police.

Massachusetts officials identified the drive r of the 1997 Hyundai as Jessica Nehmer, resident of Southwick. Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene to transport the injured.

Both of the 14-year-old boys were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Neither one of their names were released publicly. Jessica survived the crash and was taken to Baystate Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. Police reported that she was released. Massachusetts State police continued to investigate the fatal accident.
