Pennsylvania police chase stolen car, bystander killed

York, PA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Pennsylvania State police reported a fatal accident the killed an innocent bystander in a high speed police chase in early October, announced CNN.

The police cruiser’s lights were flashing and sirens blaring in a high speed chase to catch a 19-year-old man who had run a red light while driving a stolen Mazda. The young man was identified as 19-year-old Joshua Minor who continued to speed through the town of York until the tragic accident occurred.

Joshua drove through the York Intersection of Parkway Boulevard and Smith Street on the north side of town when he crashed into a Ford Escort and killed the driver instantly.

The driver of the Ford Escort was identified as Angel Blanco Hernandez. Police reported that the 35-year-old father was on his way to pick up his children at elementary school right before the fatal wreck.

The Medical Examiner Coroner arrived at the tragic scene and declared the father dead due to the impact of the accident. Police reported that Joshua Minor did admit to stealing the vehicle and he faces charges for possession of stolen property, according to court papers.
