A sport utility vehicle (SUV) rolled over on Interstate 95 in Mamaroneck NY during rush hour traffic.

Mamaroneck, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A sport utility vehicle (SUV) rolled over after a collision with another vehicle on Interstate 95 on Wednesday morning, October 14, 2009, according to the Journal News.

The accident took place in the fast lane of the southbound lanes between the Exit 18B and 19, which obstructed rush hour traffic for close to an hour. State police reported to the scene of the rollover wreck.

The two vehicles reportedly hit the wall on the highway around 8:30 a.m. The crash occurred between a Lexus SUV and a BMW convertible. The driver of the SUV apparently suffered only minor injuries from the rollover crash. The Connecticut woman’s drivers side airbags inflated, and she was reported to have been wearing her seat belt. Police did not identify the woman by age or name.

The driver of the BMW was only identified as a New York driver. Both women had no recollection of the crash. Emergency medical services (EMS) transported the Connecticut woman to the Sound Shore Medical Center to be treated by doctors and nurses.
