SUV Rollover Report: Massachusetts SUV crash killed one, critically injured another

Legal news for Massachusetts SUV rollover attorneys – Ford Explorer rollover crash on Interstate 495 in Norton, Massachusetts fatally injured one man.

Norton, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – An SUV drove off Interstate 495 after jumping a median, crashing into some trees, and rolling multiple times Wednesday, October, 7, 2009, announced the Sun Chronicle.

State troopers reported the one-vehicle crash occurred around 8:00 a.m. close to Exit 10 and the North Washington overpass. Police investigators are probing the scene of the crash to determine what exactly happened. The Ford Explorer SUV rolled over multiple times before it came to a stop about 100 yards away, on top of the highway median.

Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the SUV. Police noted that the Explorer had Rhode Island tags. Both victims of the rollover crash were said to be in their 20’s. A male victim was declared dead at the scene of the crash.

The other female victim in the crash was transported by emergency medical services (EMS) teams to the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with possibly life-threatening injuries. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and set up curtains around the body of the deceased victim to shield it from drivers passing by on the Interstate.

Police are investigating whether the heavy rain was a contributing factor in the fatal rollover accident.
