Maryland woman struck and killed by truck in neighborhood

Legal news for Maryland Personal Injury attorneys—A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck in a Baltimore residential area.

Baltimore, MD (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A woman, who is lives in Baltimore’s Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello community was hit and fatally injured by a truck on Tuesday, October 6, 2009.

The woman was attempting to cross Harford Road, when a truck traveling northbound a few blocks away from Clifton Park struck her in the middle of the Road. Police and emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene to find the woman’s lifeless body on the ground at the 2500 block of Harford Road. Police identified the woman as 53-year-old Cheryl Fenner. She was declared dead at the scene of the tragic incident by Fire rescue department authorities.

The driver of the truck pulled over, and stopped after he had struck the woman to wait for the police to come. Police reported the incident to have occurred around 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. The name of the truck driver was not released.

Baltimore police continue to investigate the accident to determine if Fenner had been in the crosswalk when walking in the street.
