Personal Injury Notice: 12-year-old girl struck by car

Greece, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – a young girl was struck by a moving vehicle in Monroe County when she crossed the street at a busy intersection Wednesday afternoon, announced the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Police reported the scene of the accident to be at Mt. Read Boulevard and Latta Road in the town of Greece. The accident took place around 5 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in rush hour traffic. Officials reported the girl to be 12-years-old. They did not disclose her identity. Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived to transport the injured girl. She was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses for her injuries.

Greece police officials reported that the young girl was attempting to cross the street when traffic was moving toward her. The driver of the vehicle that hit the girl reportedly did not see the crosswalk because he said that a truck was blocking his view.

The girl sustained lacerations and complained of pain before she was taken via ambulance to Strong for treatment. Medical officials said that the little girl’s injuries were not fatal. Police reported that the driver of the vehicle that struck the girl will not be charged. Police did not identify the driver.
