Motor Vehicle Accident Report: Toms River man killed in car wreck!

Toms River, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Two vehicles collided at a New Jersey intersection and killed one driver Saturday morning, announced the Star-Ledger. A minivan heading eastbound on Mapletree Road when the driver approached old Freehold Road where there was a red light.

The driver, identified as 37-year-old Cruz Rosado, resident of Lakewood, sped through the intersection and slammed into a jeep heading westbound on Old Freehold around 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Rosado’s vehicle was identified as a 1999 Honda minivan crashed into the 1999 Jeep and forced it to flip over.

The driver of the Jeep was identified as 58-year-old Robert Ives, resident of Toms River. Police officials responded to the scene of the accident where Ives was declared dead.

Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived to transport the driver of the minivan, Rosado, to the Community Medical Center in Toms River to be treated by doctor and nurses for his injuries. Rosado was discharged from the hospital after treatment. Cruz Rosado had been charged for numerous motor vehicle violations including causing death to the other driver.
