Queensbury, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A woman from Essex County suffered fatal injuries when she collided with another vehicle in a construction work zone, announced WCAX News.

The woman from Essex County was driving on Route 149 in Queensbury late Friday afternoon when she swerved into the eastbound lanes and collided head on with another vehicle. The Essex County driver was identified as 70-year-old Shelvia Bush, resident of Ticonderoga, New York, was traveling in the westbound lanes of Route 149 when she entered a construction zone and crossed into the lanes of oncoming traffic where the other driver could not get out of the way in time before Bush struck the vehicle.

Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene of the crash and transported the severely wounded Bush to a local hospital where doctors declared her dead. The driver of the other vehicle along with his passenger sustained minor injuries from the crash. Police officials did not disclose the names of the two survivors of the accident.

Bush was sent to the Medical Examiner’s office for a scheduled autopsy to determine if the crash was caused by human error or a medical condition that could have been a factor in the accident.
