Pennsylvania motorcyclist dies after crash with pickup truck

Fort Loudon, PA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Mercersburg man suffered fatal injuries due to Monday afternoon collision where a motorcyclist struck a pickup truck, announced the Herald-mail.

The 41-year-old motorcyclist was riding through Metal Township, Pennsylvania at the intersection of Path Valley Road and Bricker Road in Fort Loudon when the crash occurred. The motorcyclist struck the truck on Path Valley Road when the pickup truck pulled out in front of the biker.

The pickup truck was identified as a 1995 Dodge Dakota driver by a resident of Everett. The identity of the driver of the Dodge pickup truck remains undisclosed. The biker identified as Todd Michael Sites, was riding a 2006 Suzuki Motorcycle at the time of the accident heading southbound when he pulled in front of the pickup. Sites was transported to the Fulton County Medical Center via helicopter due to his serious injuries which proved fatal that day.

The Franklin County medical examiner’s office scheduled an autopsy to determine the reason for the man’s death. The motorcyclist crashed into the truck on the left side. Police are furthering the investigation. It was not stated as to whether the pickup driver was taken to the hospital.
