New York landscaping co-owner dies in construction accident

South Bristol, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A beloved New York, South Bristol community landscaping Contractor was killed in a construction accident Wednesday, announced MPN3Now.com.

Officials reported that the contractor was doing some brush work on a bobcat tractor when he was found hunched over the tractor that had fallen down a hill and toppled over. The family business man, identified as James T. Meisenzahl of Meisenzahl Construction, has been in business for more than ten years in South Bristol. Locals, who heard about the tragic news of his death, reported that Mr. Meisenzahl was a loved person in the South Bristol community.

Meisenzahl was reportedly using a bobcat tractor owned by John Allhusen. Mr. Meisenzahl, 55, of South Bristol, was using the tractor to clean up the brush around a wooded area, when he collasped and the tractor appeared to have fallen down a nearby hill. John Allhusen went out to the area to view the progress that was made only to find Mr. Meisenzahl lying lifeless with the bobcat at the bottom of the hill.

The County Medical Examiner was scheduled to perform an autopsy to further the investigation of what had caused the landscaping contractor’s death. Officials reported that Mr. Meisenzahl had obviously suffered trauma to his head, but it was not known whether the head wound happened before or after he was dead. Occupational Safety Hazard Administration (OSHA) www.osha.gov/ was contacted to investigate the accident.
