Johnston, RI (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Rhode Island police reported a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) rollover crash to have taken place on Interstate 295 in the town of Johnston, announced the Boston Herald.

The fatal rollover crash occurred on Tuesday in Providence County, where the SUV driver and two female passengers were catapulted through the windshield killing two and severely injuring the third woman. The women were traveling with three children in the back seating in the SUV and were all under the age of 3-years-old. Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene to transport the injured to the local hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses. Medical officials confirmed the two women dead at the scene.

The toddler boys involved in the crash were ages 1 and 2-years-old. The third child was an 8-month- old infant. The SUV landed on its roof on the interstate highway. All the children were treated by doctors and nurses and were discharged to their parents. The names of their children and the adults were not released. The SUV rollover continues to be under investigation by Rhode Island detectives to determine the cause of this tragic and fatal rollover accident.
