Young Massachusetts boy dies in Charlton highway crash

Massachusetts Car Accident lawyers report on a 2- car crash which proved fatal when a boy died in the hospital days after car accident accident.

Charlton, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A Rhode Island boy died in the hospital after suffering from injuries caused by a two car wreck last week on the Turnpike on Charlton, Massachusetts, announced Boston Globe.

Police reported the car accident that fatally injured the 6-year-old boy died while being treated by doctors and nurses at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA. The boy’s name has not been made public.

Massachusetts police investigators reported the accident to have taken place last Thursday morning when the 1995 Chevrolet Lumina had a tire explode while driving down Interstate 90. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Joseph Tellier resident of Cumberland, RI, whose passenger was the 6-year-old boy.

When the Chevrolet began to swerve across all lanes of traffic, a Ford Escape hit the out of control vehicle from behind and both vehicles came to a halt in the middle of the highway.

Police identified the driver to be 67-year-old Ronald Fleury, resident of Peabody, a town in Essex County. Tellier, the driver of the Chevrolet broke through the windshield and sustained severe injuries. The boy, sitting in the passenger’s seat, was transported to the hospital immediately to be treated for his injuries, which proved fatal on Monday. Investigators are still unsure about the relationship between the driver and the boy.
