Rochester, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A teenage motorcyclist collided with a pickup truck in Rochester Sunday evening, reported Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

The severe accident occurred at the crossroads of Genesee Street and West Main Street. Early Sunday night, rescue officials and police arrived at the scene where a head on collision between a pickup truck and a young motorcyclist left one seriously injured and the driver suffering minor injuries.

Emergency medical services(EMS) arrived to transport the 18-year-old motorcyclist, reported Rochester police authorities. The teenager suffered possibly fatal wounds and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses. The boy’s identity or physical condition has not been publicly released as of yet. The operator of the pickup truck was identified only as a 52-year-old man. He was also transported to Strong Memorial Hospital to be assessed for suffering from soreness in his neck.

Police investigators reported that the teenage motorcyclist was heading eastbound on W. Main Street when he began to veer left onto Brown Street. At that moment, a pickup truck heading westbound on West Main Street collided with the teenager. Police detectives continue to investigate to determine whether or not consequential accusations will be applied to either motorist for the accident.
