NJ Motor Vehicle Accident Attorney News – NJ drunk grade school teacher charged after crashing into 2 vehicles injured mothers and children.
Hillsborough, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Three vehicle accident was initiated by a drunk grade school teacher who teaches at a local public school. The 2 other vehicles involved were traveling with 3 adults and 3 children, who were injured on account of the teachers driving under the influence, announced the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The drunken driving accident happened after school on Thursday afternoon in Hillsborough, New Jersey. Police officials reported that the 26-year-old intoxicated school teacher jumped the median and collided head on with a Toyota SUV. The driver of the SUV was a mother who was transporting three children at the time of the collision.
Emergency medical officials arrived on the scene to treat and transport the injured. The teacher was identified by officials as Erin Markakis. She is reportedly an employee at the local public school of Bedminster who teaches fourth graders. After Markakis hit the Toyota injuring the mother and 3 children, the vehicles then crashed into a third vehicle.
Police say Markakis crossed the center line and ran head-on into a Toyota Highlander carrying a woman and three children. The two vehicles struck a third car after they collided. The condition of those victimized in this accident has not been released. Erin Markakis has been charged for driving under the influence.
