NJ Automobile Accident News – Mercedes collides with city dump truck

New Jersey Motor Vehicle Accident Attorneys report a car stuck under garbage truck after vehicle collision reported police officials.

Toms River, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) –Monday night, a vehicle collided with a Toms River Township garbage truck in the location of Ortley Beach, announced the Asbury Park Press. Authorities reported that a Mercedes-Benz crashed in the township dump truck early evening when it was turning the corner to collect the neighborhood garbage at Bay Boulevard and Seventh Avenue.

The impact of the crash lodged the 2009 Mercedes underneath the large garbage truck. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was identified by officials as 18-year-old Nicholas Maida, resident of Hopewell in the County of Mercer. Injuries have not been reported by police officials.

Authorities identified the garbage truck operator as Michael Russo Jr. The employer of the garbage truck driver was not released. There was also an employee that was assisting the truck operator, riding on the back of the truck collecting trash, who was not identified by police authorities. The collision happened when the truck was doing its job collecting trash.

There were no tickets issued as of yet. Police detectives are investigating to determine the reason for this accident.
