Long Island SUV driver loses control, strikes and kills 9-year old boy

Long Island SUV accident lawyers the driver of a Sport Utility Vehicle lost control and rolled over 9-year-old boy who died in the hospital.

Suffolk County, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — In Wading River, Long Island, a 9-year old boy suffered fatal injuries when he was rolled over by an out of control SUV, according to FoxNews.

Police authorities reported that the young boy had just excitedly jumped out of the Sport Utility Vehicle. Then, the driver attempted to straighten out the vehicle to park and swerved out of control rolling the boy over.

The scene of the tragic accident happened on a street in the town of Wading River, located in Long Island. Officials are following the drivers claim that when they were trying to park on the shoulder of the road, the driver could not control their Sport Utility Vehicle. Police reported that the driver of the Sport Utility Vehicle back up into a minivan behind crushing the boy.

The thrust of the SUV catapulted the boy into the street, where he laid in shock in the middle of the road. Authorities stated that the SUV proceeded to move erratically striking the already badly injured boy again.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived on the scene and transported to the boy, whose name remains undisclosed, to the hospital where his injuries proved fatal. Investigators continue to gather information about the devastating accident.
