Leonia, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A bus transporting 37 people crashed into a Synagogue in New Jersey, reported Fox News. The bus apparently went in reverse and began sliding backwards from Grand Avenue towards a Synagogue, reported police.

10 of the 37 people on board the bus were injured when it smashed into the Congregation Sons of Israel Synagogue.  Emergency Medical Personnel arrived to treat the injured. The wounded were transported to Englewood and Holy Name hospitals in the area.

The 9 children and 1 adult who were injured appeared to have suffered only minor injuries from the bus accident, reported fire rescue officials. The children were at the Synagogue attending a summer camp program. The parents of each child was phoned and told to come and take their child home early for the day due to the crash.

A parent of one of the children injured and released from Englewood hospital, was pleased to discover that his boy did not suffer major injuries. Authorities said if the bus had crashed several feet closer to the Synagogue, there could have been complications with the gas tank.
