New York aviation accident attorney news-Recovery workers continue search for bodies of New York airplane crash between a tour helicopter and a piper saratoga.

New York, NY–On Monday, the continuation of the search and recovery effort for the last two missing bodies of the aviation disaster between a tour helicopter and a small plane resumed. Seven bodies from the air crash between a small airplane which had taken off from the Teterboro, New Jersey airport and 12-minute sight seeing helicopter on Saturday have already been recovered as reported by Reuters.

Reports indicate a U.S. pilot, flying a Piper Saratoga plane, hit the back of one of the largest sightseeing helicopter companies in the Northeast, Liberty Helicopter, on Saturday afternoon. The fatal air collision occurred near the site of the US Airways emergency jet landing onto the Hudson River last winter after an apparent bird strike. According to reports from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association there have been 70 midair collisions involving 140 aircraft across the country in the past 10 years with deaths on 83 of the involved aircrafts. Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) http://www.ntsb.gov and officials with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) http://www.faa.gov will continue to investigate the cause of the fatal air space crash but do not plan of locating and recovering recording equipment known as a “black box”. Small aircraft like tour helicopters and Piper Saratoga airplanes are not required to carry the advanced equipment.
