2 NJ teenagers killed in Hummer collision accident

NJ fatal crash killed 2 male teenagers going westbound when they drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into Hummer, stated investigative police officials.

Essex County, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – In West Orange, New Jersey, two male teenagers was killed in Hummer collision on a local highway Sunday morning, announced the New York Times.

The two 19-year-olds were in their Corvette sports vehicle heading east on Eagle Rock Avenue when they swerved into the westbound traffic lanes and crashed into a Hummer jeep, announced Police officials. Investigators identified the driver of the sports car was Vincent Simon, a local to the area. The passenger in the Corvette was identified as Michael McCormick Jr, according to the Essex County Officials.  The officials also reported that the road conditions were slick due to a morning rain shower.

Emergency Medical paramedics arrived on the scene to treat the injured victims. Vincent Simone, the driver of the Corvette was declared dead at the scene of the crash. The Hummer decimated the sports car. The passenger, Michael McCormick Jr., was also confirmed dead on the scene at 555 Eagle Rock Avenue.

The police did not press charges against the driver of the Hummer, 55-year-old resident of West Orange- Kathy Van.  Kathy Van suffered injuries from the collision and was transported to the local University Hospital. Police are still investigating the possible causes of the accident.
