Newark International Airport shuttle collides with bus contracted by FedEx

Newark, New Jersey (NewYorkInjuryNews.com)—At 1:30 am Wednesday morning, at Newark Liberty International Airport, a shuttle and a first transit bus, contracted by Fed Ex, crashed in a head on collision on a South Service Road. The driver of the shuttle bus was transported to the University Hospital and declared dead soon after. The driver of the FedEx bus survived and suffered moderate injuries. Three passengers traveling on the Shuttle bus were also injured. One woman on the shuttle was seriously injured, however, was not in life-threatening condition. The other individuals involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries, as announced by a Port Official.

The Port authority police are still in the process of gathering information about the collision.  The Newark Liberty International Airport is controlled by New York and the New Jersey area and functions as one of the ten most active airports in the U.S, as well as a part of the top five most active airports internationally.
