NJ School Bus Driver Arrested for Driving Drunk with Students

Westhampton Township, NJ — A New Jersey school bus driver is facing 25 counts of driving under the influence with a minor and child endangerment, after the children she was driving called their parents to report her bad driving, reported the Pocono Record.

The children on the school bus called their parents after they allegedly saw their bus driver, 46-year-old Carole Crockett, falling asleep while behind the wheel and swerving.

Concerned parents alerted police, who located Crockett at Holly Hills School where she was trying to pick up more children.

Police tested Crockett and found her blood level to be at .25 percent, which is more than three times of legal limit. The legal limit is .08 percent.

Crockett was arrested and is facing 25 counts of DUI with a minor and child endangerment. Her bail is set at $10,000 for the disorderly conduct offense, while her bail for the endangering charges was set at $75,000.

Crockett posted bail and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court on November 17.
