South Carolina auto accident attorney alerts- Fatal motor vehicle accident under investigation by Myrtle Beach Police Department officials.

Myrtle Beach, SC (News)—Authorities from the Myrtle Beach Police Department are looking into what might have caused a three-vehicle crash that resulted in one death and left two others injured on Monday evening, March 1, 2010. The wreck reportedly occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m., according to information provided by TheSunNews.com.

The fatal motor vehicle collision (MVC) was believed to have occurred on U.S. 501 and Seaboard Street because of a man, suspected of stabbing a 30-year-old woman, who was fleeing the crime scene. He reportedly drove off after noticing the police deputies, who were dispatched to the scene based on a domestic disturbance call. The 29-year-old suspect then seemingly became involved in a crash with two other vehicles, though it was not known what physically prompted the wreck.

Emergency medical services (EMS) crews apparently responded to the scene to transport those injured in the motor vehicle accident to area hospitals to be treated by doctors and nurses. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, identified as 53-year-old Cheryl Byrd, suffered severe injuries, which proved fatal at approximately 6:48 p.m., shortly after her arrival at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. The suspect and the driver of the third vehicle involved were also taken to area hospitals with injuries that did not seem life threatening. Myrtle Beach Police continue to investigate the fatal multi-vehicle accident.
