Chandigarh Fashion Children’s Bracelets recalled due to lead paint

Legal news for New York product liability attorneys -The CPSC announced a product recall of children’s bangle bracelets due to high levels of lead paint.

Flushing, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – The government agency the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) www.cpsc.gov, in cooperation with Chandigarh Fashion Inc., of Flushing, N.Y., has recalled Children’s Bangles due to high levels of lead.

There were 1,200 of the Children’s Bangles bracelets sold in exclusively Chandigarh Fashion stores located in Flushing, New York, and Sonia clothing and fabric stores in Chicago, Illinois from May 2007 through August 2008 for the price of $2 each. The Bangles were recalled due to illegally high levels of lead, which violate the government lead paint standard. To date, there have been no reports of injury or illness related to this recall.

The children’s bangle bracelets were sold in a 24 pack and are colored gold with a variety of different colored stripes. The Children’s Bangles were manufactured in India. All who have purchased these Bangles bracelets are advised to remove them from the children for their safety and return the bracelets to the place of purchase to receive a full refund.
