New Jersey Personal Injury Alert: Glassboro pedestrian injured in crash

Legal news for New Jersey Personal Injury lawyers—Police detectives investigated an accident where a pedestrian was struck and injured by a Ford Thunderbird.

Glassboro, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A pedestrian was struck by an oncoming vehicle as he was crossing the intersection Monday, November 9, 2009, announced the Courier Post.

Police reported that the serious accident took place in Glassboro at the intersection of College Avenue and High Street, where the male pedestrian was severely injured by a Ford Thunderbird.

The injured pedestrian was identified by police officials as 45-year-old Ronald Pierson, resident of Reading Street. Ronald was hit by the car around 6 p.m. Monday evening, when police and emergency medical service (EMS) officials reported to the scene.

Emergency medical officials transported Ronald to a local hospital to be treated for head and leg injuries by doctors and nurses. His condition was reported to be stable.

The driver of the Ford Thunderbird was identified by police as 40-year-old Luis Rivera, resident of Whig Lane. Luis Rivera remained uninjured in the wreck. Police detectives are investigating the incident.

It was not reported if Ronald was walking in a crosswalk at the time the Thunderbird struck him. Police believe that alcohol was not a factor.
