Cohasset, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A worker at a Cohasset construction site fell 25-feet off a scaffold while working on building renovations near a waterfront location, announced the Patriot Ledger.

The construction worker from Plymouth suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital via helicopter in Boston. Police reported the accident to have taken place Wednesday morning on work site in Cohasset.

Police identified the injured worker as 50-year-old Charles Ford, resident of Plymouth. Medical officials announced that Ford’s condition had not been determined as of Wednesday evening. Massachusetts police officials said that Ford was working with two others at the Mill River Marine located on Border Street on a construction project to renovate the area buildings. Ford was the man in charge.

At the time of the incident, the men were installing the sidings, when Ford plummeted 25-feet to the ground off of the scaffold. Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the situation after receiving a call from his fellow workers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) www.osha.gov is currently probing the accident to determine if the correct equipment for fall-prevention was being utilized.

Cohasset Gulph LLC is the owner of the marine construction site where the incident took place. The company’s administration was contacted but could not be reached.
