2 motorcyclists veered into wrong lane hit 2 vehicles

Legal news for Connecticut Motorcycle Accident lawyers- 2 injured motorcyclists taken to UMass Medical Center after veering into westbound lane causing a 4 vehicle-accident.

Putnam, CT (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Two motorcyclists were seriously injured in a Saturday evening crash in Putnam, announced Norwich Bulletin. A motorcyclist from Danielson was reported to be put in the intensive care unit at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester County after the vehicle accident.

Police identified the motorcyclist as 30-year-old James Cote, who was transported via ambulance to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. The motorcyclist that was traveling with Cote was identified as 36-year-old Richard Lewis, resident of Brooklyn, who was also taken to the Day Kimball hospital and then transferred to UMass Medical Center.

Putnam officials reported that Cote seemed to have been riding a Kawasaki motorcycle heading east on Grove Street when he veered into the westbound lane and hit a Chevy Trailblazer. The SUV was traveling with six people at the time of the accident. The driver was identified as 37-year-old Michelle Swift, resident of North Grafton, MA. The passengers remained unharmed in the crash.

Lewis’ motorcycle crashed into a 2004 Mercury Sable that was also driving in the west bound lanes. The 21-year-old driver, identified as Jason Richard, resident of Putnam, along with his two other people traveling in the vehicle, remained uninjured. Police continue to investigate the accident.
