Massachusetts Personal Injury lawyer posts urgent announcement - public worker was hit and killed by minivan in Bristol County.
Attleboro, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — Massachusetts police officials reported a water division employee was hit and suffered from fatal injuries when he was killed by a motor vehicle, announced the Boston Globe.
The 35-year-old worker was in the process of closing the gate on a concealed water system when he was crushed by a minivan on Monday evening. Officials identified the public worker as Jeffery Burgess who was hit and killed at approximately 8 a.m. in the morning on the edge of the city road in Bristol County.
The worker was on-site when he was struck by the minivan. The driver of the minivan was identified by police as 58-yer-old Ngoc Hue, resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Jeffery Burgess was transported via emergency medical services (EMS) to Sturdy Memorial Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses for his injuries early Monday night. His injuries later proved fatal and he was declared dead by medical officials.
Authorities reported on the accident that the worker was standing near a department pickup truck that had bright yellow lights that were blinking at the time the accident occurred. The driver of the minivan was also transported to the hospital. Her injuries were not reported. Police have not filed any charges as of yet, and investigators continue to probe the accident.
